Well where to begin…..! We spent a day in Old Delhi riding around on a bicycle rickshaw and the kid who peddled looked like he weighed maybe 50 kilos. The old city is incredibly congested and delapidated – you start to get a feel for the sheer weight of 16 million people and the pressures it puts on both the infrastructure and the people. Take a look at this power pole – I think a Canadian electrician would have a screaming fit seeing this but somehow it does seems to work – more or less. I now understand the power outages! Then there was the power line that just fell down and draped over a couple of cars as we were riding past! Life isn’t dull… Anyway it was a fascinating experience travelling down these incredibly tiny and busy streets – everyone is very friendly and polite – even when you run over their toes
